Maggi’s slogan of “ready in two minutes,” could soon become outdated and not something the company can boast about. Israeli entrepreneurs Ayelet Carasso and Doron Marco from White Innovation company have developed a device that can prepare an elaborate meal in just 30 seconds, Reuters reports.
This device, called the ‘Genie’ looks like a coffee maker, and as mentioned above can prepare a meal in just 30 seconds. The machine uses pods containing dehydrated ingredients, and can cook anything from an entrée, main course to deserts in under a minute.
The machine is controlled via a mobile app, which kick starts the process of mixing the ingredients and adding liquids where needed to prepare a particular dish. The creators claim that all ingredients in the pods are natural without preservatives and freeze-dried.
The Genie is inspired by the Replicator from the Star Trek universe. A replicator is essentially a machine used to synthesize meals on demand, but were also used to create and recycle objects.
The Genie will soon go into mass production and will be available in the US, and European countries. Not surprisingly, the machine itself will cost several hundreds of dollars, but the pods will cost as much as a meal.
