The movie world as well as the Star Trek fan verse was shocked as news of actor Leonard Nimoy s death surfaced. Nimoy, who played the character of Mr. Spock in Star Trek, died at the age of 83. The twitteverse has since come together to remember Nimoy and his famous character.
Nimoy himself was quite active on Twitter, and would share his poetry, and remember his time when shooting Star Trek. Every tweet was signed off with LLAP or Live Long and Prosper. His last tweet was earlier this week, where he wrote about how he perceived life.
A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP

Nimoy s human-alien character First Officer of the Starship Enterprise had a cult following with his signature Vulcan salute with the hand raised palm forward and the fingers separated from the middle and ring fingers. This salute followed by the Vulcan greeting, Live Long and Prosper. The salute was devised by him.
